Who We Are

Yorkville Community Church is an Interdenominational Christian Church composed of God’s children from many different backgrounds worshipping together seeking the love of God.  We worship the Triune God and strive to spread the Christian faith by supporting mission work both in and beyond our community.  We encourage all who attend to develop a close fellowship with God, a deep understanding of the Bible and a strong feeling of faith and trust in God’s love and will.  We acknowledge and accept all the books of the Old and New Testaments as the divinely inspired word of God.  We acknowledge and accept the three Christian creeds (Apostles, Nicene and Athanasian) to be the true explanations of the teaching of the Bible and we accept the 10 Commandments as a basic summary of the law of God. We believe that salvation is a free gift from God, through Christ without any merit of worthiness within us.
